Why Choose Us?

Our team is highly experienced in pain management, physical medicine, and rehab.

Why Choose Regenerative Medicine?

Stem cells are the building blocks and healing agents in your blood, bones, tissue, and muscles. Stem cell therapy naturally boosts your body’s own healing power, making it a very organic medical treatment alternative. The process is simple and can improve your ability to recover from an injury or surgery.

During the stem cell therapy, our pain management doctors place these healing cells where they are needed most and we let your body do the rest.

About PRP Therapy

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP therapy) is used to accelerate healing of soft tissue. The plasma can be injected practically anywhere the pain or problem is, including, but not limited to, the spine, knee, hip, elbow, shoulder, wrist, fingers or thumb, ankles, and toes.

PRP therapy has been known to heal:

  • Tennis Elbow
  • Ankle Cartilage Pathology
  • Hip Bursitis
  • Tendonitis
  • Meniscus Injuries
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries
  • Lumbar Disc Pain
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome

The platelet-rich plasma is a product of your own blood that contains growth factors that aid in the healing process of ligaments or tendons.

How Effective is PRP Therapy?

You may not experience an immediate difference directly after the treatment due to the plasma growth factors that bind to the cell surface to begin the healing process. Since this is a natural and organic means of self-healing, the process may continue for weeks, months, or even years beyond the initial injections.

Regenerative Medicine at Pegasus

All in takes is a quick 30-minute session performed by our regenerative medicine experts and we can harvest your body’s own stem cells and then re-inject them into your injury, damaged, or arthritic joints and ligaments.

The PRP therapy is much lower than the cost of traditional surgery and offers little to no down time, so it’s an amazing viable alternative to reduce or eliminate your chronic pain. Connect with us to discuss regenerative medicine options.

Is PRP Therapy the Same as Stem Cell Therapy?

No. PRP injections uses the patient’s own blood and separates the platelets for reuse due to their natural healing factors. These platelets are then re-injected into the injured area to release growth factors that promote natural tissue healing.

In stem cell therapy, stem cells are used in conjunction with platelets to promote healing of arthritic conditions, osteoarthritic joints or sports injuries. The difference between the two is that PRP Therapy only uses the patient’s own blood.

PRP Therapy and regenerative medicine are fast becoming the treatments of choice for their ability to use your own body to promote healing and reduce inflammation for a variety of medical conditions. Gone are the days of having to resort to traditional surgery and spend several weeks laid up for recovery. Talk to our doctors today to see if regenerative medicine is right for you.
